Trial Date, Witness Lists Released in Giuffre Vs. Dershowitz Libel Case
Letters filed on Monday in the Southern District of New York set a timeline for discovery and a trial in the Giuffre vs. Dershowitz libel case that began in Spring 2019.
A tentative decision between the attorneys for the plaintiff and the defendant sets a targeted trial date for some time in March 2023, with a fact discovery deadline on November 30th, and an expert discovery deadline on February 13th, 2023.
“As discovery remains ongoing, Prof. Dershowitz necessarily reserves his right to seek to amend the suggested dates, as may be necessary,” Dershowitz’ lawyer Christian G. Kiely wrote.
Kiely’s letter also presented a list of fact witnesses Dershowitz intends calling during the trial.
