No Verdict Before Christmas - Ghislaine Maxwell Trial
There was no verdict before Christmas in the US vs. Maxwell trial. The jury deliberated for seven and a half hours before heading home for the holiday break.
There was no movement most of the day. Then, just before 4:00 PM, the jury asked for the testimony of Jane, Juan, and Kate.
Soon after, they sent a note saying they wouldn’t take Judge Nathan’s offer to deliberate on Thursday, the 23rd.
“No, thank you,” read their note to the judge. An asterisk elaborated that they had made plans.
Prosecutors for the government looked hunched up and uncomfortable when the jurors asked to see more testimony.
Judge Nathan reminded the jurors that they couldn’t discuss their deliberations over the holiday weekend. They will resume their deliberations on Monday at 9:00 AM.
