Islamo-leftism, King Darmanin, Lizard King Rush?
All things you can read about on the internet...
Howdy, and welcome to the fifth edition of the Footnotes Newsletter, where I check in with you every Friday to rundown my news (news I’m following, news I’m running away from, news about me) and point you in the direction of some worthy reads.
This week — Islamo-leftism invades French universities, Rush Limbaugh was actually Jim Morrison, and French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin’s time in the Royalist ranks. Plus, hitting a snag on understanding wildcards in Linux?
Let’s get started.
The Actions of a Royalist?
In July 2015, Emmanuel Macron told Le 1 that he believes that “in the democratic process and in its functioning, there is an absence. In French politics, that absence is the figure of the king, who I think fundamentally that the French people didn’t want dead…what we want from the President of the Republic is for him to occupy this function.”
French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, reported the French left wing magazine Politis earlier this month, may share similar sentiments.
When Darmanin appeared on CNews at the beginning of the month to talk about the law against separatism, he used Action française (AF) as an example of a type of organization that “the grandeur of democracy” allows; even one that wants to replace democracy itself.
Action française is a political formation that supports the claim of the House of Orleans to the throne. Founded as an anti-Dreyfusard movement in 1898, they became an anti-parliamentary, pro-traditional monarchy movement under the tutelage of the influential, innovative, and virulently antisemitic Charles Maurras, the most important figure of the French far right in the Third Republic.
After the Second World War, Action française supposedly moved away from their antisemitism, but they still retain a radical counter-revolutionary perspective, discourse, and tradition of discipline (which is to say they’re elitist, racist, and reactionary). Their calling card is “decapitate the Republic,” and their membership is often drawn from the ranks of the French haut bourgeoisie and the remnants of the aristocracy (two categories often intertwined).
Action française is the “grandeur of democracy”? Flowery terms from Darmanin, who often declaims lustily against the threat Islamism poses to the Republic. But why the leniency here?
According to the Action française Twitter account, Darmanin has participated in at least one of their “camp d’ete”s, the summer conferences many political parties and movements put together before the return to politics in the fall.
Politis magazine added to this by reporting a rumor from a militant in the Lille section of Action française. Darmanin used to be mayor of Tourcoing, a city fifteen minutes by train from Lille in the North of France (regular readers of the newsletter will remember that Lille is also the haunt of one Claude Hermant, who provided the weapons that Amedy Coulibaly used in the Hypercacher supermarket massacre). The militant said that Darmanin had attended the Camp Maxime Real Del Sarte (named after the militantly-anti-Dreyfusard French sculptor who participated in the February 6th, 1934 anti-parliamentary riots), hosted by the royalist organization in 2013.
Though Politis says no explicit proof of Darmanin being a card-carrying member of the Action Francaise was furnished, the milieu he inhabited in the North had deep links to the royalists. Darmanin was the campaign manager of the deputy mayor of Tourcoing, Christian Vanneste in 2007 (for the legislative elections) and 2008 (for the municipal elections).
Vanneste was a leading member of the right wing of the conservative UMP, and it’s been claimed that Vanneste himself led the youth wing of Action française in Tourcoing.
Darmanin allegedly wrote a few articles for Politique Magazine, published by Restauration nationale, closely linked to Action française, in 2008, the same time he was managing Vanneste’s campaign.
By 2013, when Darmanin was mayor of Tourcoing, he took up the public fight against homosexual marriage. The issue had been forced by the governing Socialist Party introducing a law for its legalization. Darmanin responded to the public debate, tweeting “It should be remembered that the law for #homosexualmarriage doesn’t oblige mayors to celebrate [those] marriages personally,” and “homosexual #marriage and #adoption by homosexuals, must we accept all of this under the pretext that ‘society has evolved’?”
Darmanin also voiced his support for the “Manif pour Tous,” a march led by some traditional Catholics and Muslims against the legalization of homosexual marriage.
When you think about it, Darmanin is right after all: France is threatened by organized groups dedicated to overthrowing the secular nature of the Republic! Somebody should investigate these characters!
Combating Judeo-Bolshevi- er that is to say…
And somebody will be investigating them…in the university halls of France, to guard against the corrupting influence of Islamo-Leftism.
That’s according to the minister of Higher Education Frédérique Vidal, who announced in the National Assembly on Tuesday that the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), a state institution, will be overseeing an inquiry under the aegis of “Islamogauchisme” into subversive subjects like post-colonialism. These ideas “corrupt society as a whole,” said Vidal, and the university is not impermeable.”
For their part, the CNRS called the term a “political slogan” that has “no political reality.” And they condemned, “in particular, the attempts to delegitimize different fields of research, like postcolonial studies, intersectional studies, or works on the term ‘race,’ or any other field of knowledge.”
“We see children of the Republic, sometimes from elsewhere, children or grandchildren of today’s citizens of immigrant origin from the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, revisiting their identity through a post-colonial or anti-colonial discourse,” warned Macron in a speech last October. “We see children in the Republic who have never experienced colonization, whose parents are on our soil and whose grandparents have been for a long time, but who fall into the – again deliberate – trap of some others who use this discourse, this form of self-hatred that [they say] the Republic should nurture against itself.”
Now, with Le Pen’s National Rally nipping at the heels of Macron, a full court press is being made with Macron’s tilt to the right. Darmanin’s debate with Le Pen on public television was a nasty expression of fascist mainstream in French society.
The Question of the Day on the homepage of Le Figaro, France’s leading conservative paper echoed the theme: “Are you worried by the rise of islamo-leftist ideas in universities?”
An Associated Press report from February 15th gives another taste of the state of play.
“Scrubbing France clean of radicals and their breeding grounds is a priority for President Emmanuel Macron,” wrote the AP, using nakedly fascistic language in an article about shutdowns of private Muslim educational institutions.
The article recounts a raid that closed MHS, a secular co-ed institution that nevertheless allows girls to wear headscarves (which have been banned in French public schools for over a decade) and gives students time to pray between classes.
“A statement from the Police Prefecture and prosecutors office suggested the closure was part of a growing push to ‘fight all forms of separatism,’” reported the AP. Three dozen police officers were sent to the school to close it, and officers insulted some of the students, said Omar, a 17 year old student.
In presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s latest weekly review he condemned the passage of the law against separatism as a transparent effort to persecute French Muslims and arrogate more powers to the police state. He’s called the current climate one of an “Islamophobic neurosis.” And he called the occasion of the passage “an event.”
“There is a before and an after.”
Lizard King Rush
Was Rush Limbaugh actually Jim Morrison? A forums poster named Johann made the case back in 2017.
I will unceremoniously rip this fat fucking clown a new BoGrove asshole with this thread. My research and insight into that man is staggering, and I will unload it all here. Be amazed. I was born to do this. For 25 years I adhered to the philosophy of a man that I thought was dead, that I revered in a way that he never knew. To find out that he is not only alive, but as a wretched, stinking, lying, right-wing shitstain of a blowhard made me "Leave the Matrix". Well, now I'm back. And I'm ready to claim my Crown.
Jim Morrison stole 25 years of my life. I'm gonna steal his soul back from Satan, who is his employer.
Start shining up my Pulitzer Prize, cuz I'm gonna make some fat cats sweat cigar bullets...
Obviously it’s personal for Johann. He explains the physical process:
Well, he's got the cosmetic surgery scars from a botched procedure. He's had Nips and tucks, and how many I'm not sure. His nose has got a new bridge, and his hair seems to be implants. He's also deaf, and he wears a cochlear implant to help him hear. He said once that he looked at his deafness as a challenge to allow him to keep working. Now, the birthdate of Rush Limbaugh is not the same as Jim Morrison, nor is the birthplace. Rush is supposedly from Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He's not. He's from Melbourne Florida, the son of a Naval Intelligence officer/CIA man. It's the eyes that SCREAM (like a Butterfly) it's him. The eyes are the dead giveaway.
And the teeth. And the Demi-God Complex...
The most glaring difference is his voice. He sounds nothing like Jim Morrison, right? He has admitted in an interview that he can change his throat muscles, which is something Jim Morrison could do- Jim could go from a croon to a scream.
The inflections and tone of his voice is clearly that of W.C. Fields- which he probably studied for years to get down pat.The biggest hurdle for me to get over in believing it was him was the voice. The voice is a real mind-fuck. The visual isn't so bad because I know he doesn't care about his looks, even though he was a very good looking dude in the Doors. He couldn't get laid in a whorehouse with fistfuls of gold and hundreds now...not least of which because he needs viagra, and was busted for smuggling it into Florida..
And he relates how he realized it was him:
So what was it that confirmed for me that Rush is Jim Morrison? It was a combination of the eyes and the video of his first TV appearance in 1988 on a "fake" cable access show. On that show the host "interviews" Rush, and at one point he says he's gonna play a game, kinda like "Jeopardy!". He holds up a sign to Rush that says "A HIGH SLUM RUB" on it. He asks Rush what it refers to.
Rush says he has no idea. The host says it's what you get when you re-arrange the letters of "Rush Limbaugh"- an anagram, Like Jim Morrison had with "Mr. Mojo Risin'"...Rush says "I would never have known. THEY WARNED ME ABOUT YOU...." in his best W.C. Fields voice...That was all I needed, but when he breaks into his Betty Boop voice to sing Clarence Frogman Henry's "Ain't got no Home"....that was the absolute clincher. I knew right then and there that it WAS HIM.
Do you doubt this guy? Well,
So if anyone wants to post about how I'm insane to say Rush is Jim Morrison- shut yer trap. I'm a Doors EXPERT, paco...Ask anyone who really knows me. It's fucking him. I looked at every image I could find of Rush to confirm it. The eyes don't lie...I did a trace of his teeth too-perfect match. His mole- same as Jim's. He's 5'11"- same as Jim was. The only thing needed is a DNA test, or the grave to be exhumed...but Jim's father put the ki-bosh on a petition by fans to dig him up, to end all speculation and confusion about his death. Fishy, no?
Fishy, yes!

How would you use a wildcard to find all files that have an extension in Linux? I mean solely files that have an extension at all, not extensions of a specific length, I’ve figured out how to do those.
Next week get ready for the story of Air Cocaïne, which involves 680 kilos of cocaine and a National Front European Parliament deputy’s involvement in an elite team that broke the pilots hauling the blow out of prison.
Has Ryan continued not smoking? Nope, he fell off the wagon. “had a lapse and bummed some from the attractive woman down stairs,” he reports in a text message. Uh-oh…stay tuned gang…
The obviously cynical debate on laïcité reminds me that during the 2012 presidential campaign Marine Le Pen said she would include in her cabinet a Minister of the Interior, Immigration, and…of Laïcité! It’s clear who’s setting the tone.
Marine’s mother Pierette once said this: “Marie is the absolute clone of her father. She’s Jean-Marie Le Pen, physically, morally, even her hair.” Quoted in Renaud Dély La Vraie Marine le Pen - Une Bobo Chez les Fachos.
Until next week, share or become infected with Islamogauchisme.
